§ V — The record

The terms, set in the
same type as the promise.

One payment, nothing that renews, no account you are made to create, and a tool that never once pretends to be your lawyer. This sheet says that in the language a lawyer needs.

Who this is between

These terms govern your use of Walkthrough, an Ardenholt program operated by Ruzylo Cloud, LLC ("we", "us"). Using Walkthrough means you agree to them.

The service

Walkthrough is software provided as-is: a private, on-device move-in and move-out walkthrough that timestamps each room, separates ordinary wear from damage, ages replacement charges before it accepts them, produces a dated report, and drafts a template letter you complete and send yourself. We work to keep it running and useful, but we offer no uptime guarantee and no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, except where the law requires one.

Not legal advice, and not a law firm

Walkthrough is an informational tool. It does not practise law, it is not a lawyer or a law firm, it gives no legal advice, and using it creates no attorney–client relationship.

Its outputs — what may be ordinary wear, how a fitting depreciates, what a refund might come to — are educational approximations drawn from widely published general norms, not a determination of your rights. The letter it produces is a template you review, complete, and send in your own name: it is not a court filing, not a demand made on your behalf, and not a promise of any outcome.

What counts as wear rather than damage, how a security deposit may lawfully be deducted, and the deadline for its return are set by the statutes of the state you rent in and by the terms of your lease, both of which control over anything here. For advice about your own situation, consult a licensed attorney or your local legal-aid or tenants'-rights organisation.

What you pay, and what that buys

Seven days free first, with the whole kit running and no card asked. After that the program is one payment of $19.99 — cheaper than one disputed deduction, and it covers the move: both walkthroughs, every photograph, the dated report and the letter.

There is no subscription and no tier. Nothing renews, nothing lapses, and nothing has to be cancelled later. The purchase covers the releases that follow it.

  • Seven full days of the complete kit, no card asked.
  • One payment of $19.99 — the whole program, permanently.
  • No second purchase: no state packs, no letter library, no later subscription.
  • Thirty days, money back, no reasons needed.

The thirty-day guarantee

Thirty days, money back, on every platform, with no exceptions and no reasons asked. This is a term of the program, not a courtesy we may withdraw.

Bought from us: write to [email protected] and the payment comes back. Bought through Apple: Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com under its own policy — and if Apple declines inside our thirty days, write to us and we make it right ourselves.

Your walkthrough is unaffected either way, because it was never anywhere but your device.

Buying on iOS, buying on the web

An in-app purchase on iOS is a one-time unlock, not a subscription: no auto-renewal, no renewal charge, and nothing to switch off afterwards. Apple takes the payment and issues the receipt under its own terms.

A purchase made on the web unlocks the same app: sign in, or paste the key from your receipt. Either route flips the same switch, and buying on one platform never obliges you to buy again on the other.

Your account, if you ever make one

You do not need an account to use Walkthrough. The seven-day trial asks for nothing at all, and neither does the free estimate on this site.

An account exists only to prove what you own. It holds your email address and your licence keys — never your photographs, your walkthrough, your deposit figure, or your landlord's details. Your record never leaves your device; your account holds your licences, never your evidence.

If you do make one, keep the sign-in link and any key private, and tell us at [email protected] if you believe either has been misused.

The record is yours to keep

The walkthrough, the photographs and the report live on your device, behind its own lock, and we hold no copy (see the privacy sheet). That design makes you responsible for the device, the backups, the exports, and who else can open them. We cannot recover a record from a lost, wiped, or inaccessible phone, because there was never a copy at our end to recover it from.

It also means that if you intend to rely on this evidence, you should export or back it up yourself before you hand back the keys — the same way you would keep a receipt.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use Walkthrough to fabricate, alter, or misdate evidence, or to present its output as anything other than what it is.
  • Do not photograph a dwelling or a person you have no right to photograph.
  • Do not present Walkthrough's output to anyone as legal advice, or resell it as a legal service.
  • Do not break, probe, or reverse-engineer the service, except where the law permits it.

Ending it

You can stop using Walkthrough whenever you like: delete the app and nothing of yours is left behind on our side, because nothing of yours was there. We may suspend website services such as the register if we reasonably believe these terms are being broken, with notice where that is feasible.

Liability

To the maximum extent the law permits, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of Walkthrough is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater. We do not warrant any particular recovery, refund, or result from a deposit dispute.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located there.

Changes

If we make a material change we will update this sheet and the effective date at its head, and write once to anyone on the register. Continuing to use Walkthrough after a change means you accept it.
